Starlink's capability to stay connected in remote areas has changed the game for vehicle based travelers. Although effective, the traditional dish from Starlink has some significant pain-points for most customers:

1. 120V-AC power. Out of the box, Starlink's "Dishy" requires you to have an inverter. Some customers may not have an inverter. For those that do, they realize the inefficiencies of powering Starlink through an inverter. 

2. Not externally mountable: Designed to be used with the included tripod, your original dish must be packed inside of your rig in a fairly large box or bag, taking up valuable space inside of your 4x4, van, or RV. 

3. No In-motion Capability: Without the ability to be securely mounted, you must be stationary to deploy your dish. 

4. External Router: This means that with the standard setup from Starlink you have one more thing to store or mount inside of your vehicle. 

Now that we've talked through the problems with the standard Starlink system, let's talk about why we think the Unique Componentry all-in-one 12V Starlink Flatmount dish is the best Starlink solution on the market:

During the modification process, Unique Componentry converts the dish, router, and power supply into one integrated unit. Just add 12 volt DC and you have WiFi! The new circuitry allows power directly from a 12-15Vdc source which is far more efficient than powering it through an inverter or with a 12V to 48V booster as found in other competitor's solutions.

Unique Componentry further sets themselves apart from their competitors in their engineering and manufacturing process. The factory dish is modified with an advanced CNC machine (and not a hand tool like others...) which is then "potted" -- meaning all of the electronics are fully sealed to allow permanent vehicle mounting. As a result of "potting", no internal cavities exist inside the dish to allow for moisture or pressure build up as a result atmospheric changes which would inevitably shorten the lifespan of the electronics inside the dish. With the two included wireless remotes (one keyfob style, and one that you can mount or keep in the camper) you can turn your system on/off with just the push of a button.
